| Exhibition "Castles of Ukraine" | |

Ukraine is generously peppered with more or less ruined castles and fortresses, since its history has been the constant struggle with foreign conquerors (Mongol-Tartar hordes, Crimean Tartar and Turkish troops and others)
At present more than one hundred castles and fortresses have been preserved, while some which existed in the past have left no trace.
The suggested exhibition gives the opportunity to see the view of defense constructions depicted in the hundred of graphic works of XVII-early XIX century. These are the lithographs by Napoleon Orda, Karol Auer, Anton Langue, Bogush Stenchynskyi, water-colors by Alfred Kamenobrodskyi and amateur drawings by Emanuel Kronbach,
The pictures show how the castles in Lviv, Zhovkva, Lutsk, Stare Selo, Pidhirtsi, Qlesk, OstrogaT Dobromyl? Terebovl? Khotyn, Buchach, Zbarazh and other towns and villages looked. The defense constructions depict the culture of Ukrainian nation, its heroic struggle for independence, since they are the oldest monuments of architecture, and therefore witnessed many historic events.
During the last years the work has been in progress to develop the catalogue of defense constructions of Ukraine, which existed from the oldest times up to the XVIII century. This catalogue includes the defense constructions depicted in the graphic works of the exhibition.
The exhibition is displayed in Lviv History Museum.
The approximate insurance cost of the exhibition is 12 thousand USD.
Insurance premium due to payment for Ukrainian insurance company "from all risks" - US 80000 for one month.
Payment for the exhibit's loaning from Museum - US 1200 for a month;
- US 2000 for two month
- more than two months - according to the agreement.
Customer has to cover all expenses for the transportation security, custom's service, expenses for reception of the Museum's representatives who have to accompany the exhibits during the transportation and for the opening ceremony.
