Hvardiyska St., 18
Building, which houses the Museum "Literary Lviv of the 2nd half of the 20th century", can be found at Hvardiyska St., 18. It was built in 1937-1939, designed by Zygmunt Schperber. This is a typical example of architecture of Lviv functionalism. New technologies of the 20th century led to the development of this area, characterized by geometrization of architectural forms, "lying" shapes of windows, lack of decorative elements. Residential buildings were constructed as inserts into the building, or as large complexes – groups of cottages. An example of such building is Hvardiyska Street. Thus, the very street, house and apartments reflect the time, the story of which is continued by the museum exhibition.
